Christina had forgotten her family and no doubt endured trauma which no child should be exposed to, but after being returned safely to her parents, the girls is recovering and rediscovering her family ties.

Ever since loosing their child, the family have worked tirelessly to track her down. Their work came to fruition one night when they got a call to tell them she had been found in a poor neighborhood of the city of Mosul, Christinas blind father reports.

Mosul has been a controversial place, and under control of Islamic militants for a considerable period of time but is now almost fully under government control.
